Screen Printing

I absolutely adore Jess Hinshaw and his mighty little team of screen-printers. I think his operation is a perfect middle-ground for me; small enough that I get to meet with him personally to discuss swatches and samples for every project, and large enough to know that he'll nail it every time. He even outlines all of his pricing for any type of project on his website— something I've never seen another screen-printer offer. I couldn't recommend going anywhere other than Upright Press.

Jess also hosts a fabulous event each year called Prints & Pints, typically at the Daily Growler in German Village sometime around August. Each year, Jess commissions about 12 different local artists in town to partner up with a brewery, make them a sick poster, print it, and display it at the August event to sell and judge for the best in show. It is such a fun way to celebrate local design, print, and breweries. I've had the privilege of participating as an artist for two years now, making posters for Jackie O's and Yellow Springs Brewery.
