Welcome to my New Website!

I am so very excited to launch this shiny new website. For a little background, I run a small business just like millions of other folks across the globe— with my own two hands. Everything you've ever seen that's got my name on it came directly from me— except when I work with my lovely printers and production studios, of course. I launched my business with Big Cartel back in 2019, then swiftly upgraded to Squarespace in 2020. It's held the ship together for the last five years & about 6,000 orders, but it has quickly become challenging as I transitioned to running the business full-time after undergrad.

For starters, it is sooooooo expensive. I've been paying Squarespace about $120 a month for their top tier commerce plan & 50,000 email sends. With Shopify, I can get what I needed from Squarespace for about half that monthly cost. I also have a ton of different product varieties— which is not very user-friendly to shop from on Squarespace's platform. Shopify has some really powerful software in place that allows you as a shopper to filter through my products with very little friction; whether you're looking for a specific product type, color, or critter, you'll be able to find it very quickly. Lastly— after launching wholesale last year, I realized that inventory management was becoming very overwhelming. It seemed like there was an inventory issue every damn week; accidentally overselling a product online because it said it was available but it sold out over a weekend of craft markets, not having enough stock for a wholesale orders because nothing was syncing digitally, etc.

I finally decided at the end of last year that I needed to take the leap to fix these problems, 

Web design is one of my least favorite hats to wear as a graphic designer. It is SO complicated. You fix one problem and it causes a landslide of others.
